Our Golden Halo Award Ceremonies are regularly attended by Presidents of many prestigious organizations including the Hollywood Appreciation Society founded in 1928 (President Michael Schwibs), Rose Breast Cancer Society (President Carmelita Pittman), Silver Spurs Cowboy Association (President Robert Lanthier), Women’s International Center founded 1982 (President Bridget McDonald), Golden Boot (President Julie Reem), Senior Star Power (Founded by Pink Lady).

Roger began his career in 1982 in the publicity department of MGM and later joined LA-based Edward Lozzi & Associates, where he worked with clients including Tom Jones and Rudy Vallee. He launched his own agency, Neal Public Relations, and rapidly built an impressive client list. Roger has been nominated for a Grammy for his creative contributions and organization of the Children Of The World, an album and video project that raised more than $500,000 for the USA for Africa Fund.

Alexandra Borbolla

World-renowned artistic photographer and cinematographer Alexandra Borbolla is the founder of ABC Hydra Photography and Films. She has been featured in the internationally acclaimed film Human directed by French environmentalist Yann Arthus Bertrand. Borbolla has worked at Sky Television and Televise and has created films for Make a Wish and Aces. In addition to her cinematic work, she is a parental educator in the field of mindfulness, which she teaches in English, Spanish and French. Her sensitive portrayals of children in video and family portraiture have earned her rare special attention in the world of photography and film. She also works with both canvas and metal printing.

 

Anson Williams (“Potsie” in Happy Days)

Best known for his role as "Potsie" in the television series Happy Days (1974), Anson Williams has played the same character in four different series: Love, American Style (1969), Happy Days (1974), Laverne & Shirley (1976) and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (1996). After Happy Days, he began a prolific career as a director, starting with "No Greater Gift" (1985) and "The Drug Knot" (1986), and TV-movie Lone Star Kid (1986). He has gone on to direct many episodes of shows including The Pretender, Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place, SeaQuest DSV, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Xena: Warrior Princess, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Charmed and 7th Heaven.

Norman Lloyd

(103 years young!!) (born Norman Perlmutter) actor, producer and director who has worked in radio, theatre, television and film dating back to the Great Depression, and at 103 years of age is the oldest working Hollywood actor. His over 60 credits include Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Spellbound, Dead Poets Society and Limelight.

The Southern California Motion Picture Council was founded in 1936 when  Linda Burke established its non-profit status on May 1, 1936. Our very first event was held at the celebrated Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel when  Jean Harlow accepted the Golden Halo Award.

Over 75 years later, we continue the grand tradition at the famed Sportsmen's Lodge in Los Angeles
